February 9th 2021: Complying with federal mask mandate, BTR gains new tenants,

Per Federal Security Directive 1542-21-01 Federal law requires wearing a mask at all times in and on the airport and failure to comply may result in removal and denial of reentry. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic‘s impact on commercial air travel, the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR) has continued to land new tenants within the airports Aviation Business Park.

September 2019: DBE Workshop, Airport Projects Update, Golf Tournament, E-Books At Airport

Join us for our free Baton Rouge Metro Airport 14th Annual “Business Opportunities Workshop”. Construction is well underway on the new BTR cellphone lot adjacent to the end of Runway 4 Left (across from Texaco on Veterans Blvd). Construction of a new FBO, Williams Jet Center, has begun. It is located between the North T-Hangars and the Mosquito Abatement & Rodent Control facility off Veterans Blvd. The Runway Safety Area & Runway Protection Zone project for Runway 13-31 will establish a Runway Safety Area (RSA) and Runway Protection Zone (RZA) for Runway 13-31, one of BTR’s two primary runways. Join Us for the 19th Annual Friends of BTR Charity Golf Classic. The East Baton Rouge Parish Library is providing BTR travelers with free access to e-books.
