Security Badge Information


The Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR) utilizes the badge application to obtain two different types of identification badges: SIDA and Non-SIDA.


SIDA application is utilized for the following:

  • Employees of the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport must obtain a SIDA badge and employee parking hang tag (if permitted)
  • Contractors working at the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport can obtain a SIDA badge but they must have the contractor cover-sheet attached 

Non-SIDA application is utilized for the following:

  • General Aviation Pilots who hanger their aircraft at BTR
  • Contractors or other employees whose assigned duties are outside of the SIDA area

Steps For Applying For SIDA Badge

  1. The application should be completed prior to your arrival
  2. Have your employer sign and date on the appropriate line (the authorized signatory)
  3. You must bring two (2) forms of government issued identification (valid driver's license, passport, social security card, etc.)
  4. The applicant is then fingerprinted
  5. All fees must be paid before the badge is issued 
  6. The cost of the badge is $25.00
  7. The cost for fingerprinting is $50.00
 

Steps For Applying for Non-SIDA Badge

  1. The application should be completed prior to your arrival.
  2. Have the authorized signatory of the FBO sign and date on the appropriate line.
  3. You must bring two (2) forms of government issued identification (valid driver's license, passport, social security card, etc.).
  4. All fees must be paid before the badge is issued.
  5. The cost of a NON-SIDA badge is $25.00 for one year and $50.00 for two years.

 

Applying for Pilot or Flight Attendant Badge & Parking Decal

  1. The Pilot or Flight Attendant must commute out of BTR to be eligible.
  2. The application should be completed before your arrival.
  3. Have the authorized signatory from the appropriate Airline sign and date the applicable portion of the application.
  4. You must bring two (2) forms of government issued identification (valid drivers license, passport, social security card, etc.)
  5. All fees must be paid before the badge is issued.
  6. The cost of the Parking ID is $25.00 and the Parking Decal is $36.00.  

Badge Renewals SIDA & AOA Driver

The badge or cardholder must come in person to renew - No Exceptions

  1. Conducted Monday - Friday, by appointment.  If you are more than 15 minutes late you will be required to reschedule.  
  2. The badge or card must be renewed before it expires.  Failure to renew in a timely manner could result in revoked privileges and additional fees.
  3. The card holder must complete the renewal form if required and have appropriate authorized signatory's signature.  
  4. Payment must be made before or at the time of issuance (No Exceptions)
  5. When renewing the SIDA badge, a CHRC will be conducted every other year. The cardholder will be responsible for any and all cost or fees associated. 

Paying for your Badges and Parking Decals

  1. All major credit cards are accepted:  American Express, Discover, Mastercard & Visa (a convenience fee of 2.75% or $1.00 minimum will be applied to all credit card transactions).
    • Credit card payments can be called in prior to your arrival over the phone.
  2. Cash payments accepted.
  3. Money orders accepted.
  4. Company checks are accepted (no personal checks).
